Why your local website probably is not fine
Local SEO
A plain-English look at the small website problems that cost local businesses calls and bookings.
Most websites are not broken in a dramatic way. They are just quietly unhelpful.
The phone number is hard to tap. The opening hours live on Facebook. The menu is a PDF from 2021. Google cannot tell where the business is based.
None of that feels urgent until a customer chooses the place down the road instead.
Start with the first screen on a phone. A customer should know what you do, where you work and what to press next without pinching, zooming or hunting through a menu.
Then check the unglamorous details: one clear page title, one main heading, current opening hours, a real address or service area, useful image descriptions and a contact route that actually sends.
A good local website does not need to be clever. It needs to answer the obvious questions quickly and make the next step feel safe.
